Not long after people got sick of the internet some smartarse invented social media systems enabling everyones mental shit to be totally splattered everywhere.
As a general rule, science and decency in a rare moment of harmony declare that shit should not be swam in. Sure, if you want to swim in it in the privacy of your own home with or without other consenting adults thats ok, but everyone swimming in everyones shit is downright dangerous.
Social media, like sewage, needs to embrace the release, then slip down the pipes and shut the fuck up.
